Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Roll pin punch kit

I got the roll pin punches with the blue handle, but now i'm reading that I need the ones with the ball on the tip;  will the ones I have work, or do i need to get different ones.  Thanks.

They'll work fine, just use a little care.

Many folks recommend brass punches since the metal is softer than the steel pins it wont mar them so easily. The same is true for the ball-tip punches...no sharp edges to mar the finish. It is much more important for a safe-queen.

Roll pin punches, by definition, have the ball tip.

Otherwise, it's just a pin punch.
