Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Are all detachable carry handles compatable with all front sight bases??

I have been reading (and posting) on the taller frt sight bases vs comercial bases.  I am trying to clone the m-4 with my LMT upper and I want the appropriate style of detachable carry handle.  Currently I have an Armalite detach handle. How do I know it is the appropriate type or  are they  the same?   When is the frt sight base height an issue....with fixed handles?
