This rifle will have to some what of a compromise because it will be used in several different types of competition including Three gun, National Match, and Assault weapon, also it will be used by both myself amd my son. The only must haves are an adjustable stock, so we can both use it and a price under $2000.00. I have a few ideas about what I want already, just want to see what everybody thinks in case I didn't think of something. thanks for any info.

a single rifle for three gun and "assault weapon", sure no problem.  Adding National Match?  not really feasable.  You'd need an A2 profile weapon, with a stainless steel barrel and a hidden float tube, probably full of lead weights.
