So I got a call yesterday from a friend who's a member at a local outdoor range and we went shooting.  Took my bushy (20" HBAR, acog) and the M1A.  I'd never shot the bushy at longer than 25 yards (yeah, I know) and the M1A at longer than 100 yards.  Got the acog sighted in at 100 yds and BAM!  was nailing the 10 and X ring left and right.  The M1A was still zerod at 100, so GTG.

Then we started shooting the gongs at 300 yards.  They had an 18" and a 8";  man that's so fun!  "Blam!...(slap)".  Was hitting the 18" about 90% of the time and the 8" about 70% of the time.

This was a huge confidence builder for me in that:  1) these rifles can hit what they're aiming at at least up to 300 yds. and 2) I can hit what I'm aiming at up to 300 yards.

Sounds like a good day.  I'm just jealous.  I had to work all day.....
