Guns and Ammo is selling the "Book of the AR-15" for $8. Is it any good?

If you mean the magazine "Book of the AR-15" its not bad. Mostly ads, kinda like the Mustang mags lately.

I bought one a few months ago...

Not too bad overall, some nice gun porn, a few typos, some interesting articles.

The info is kinda dated compared to this site, though.

Thanks for the warning. I bought one issue of MM&FF only because it had a small blurb on a friend's car, but it was like 99% ads or articles/ads for wares.

My favorite typo is calling the C-More site and EOTech.

On the mag:  Cool pics but you won't learn anything new.

Are you referring to the one with "M16: King of CQB?" and "Ultimate .204" on the cover?

If so, then I'd tell you that it's worth the money only insofar as it'll entertain you for a few hours. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun read but, as others have mentioned, you won't learn much that's new. Additionally, some of the "articles" are typical gun mag puffery.......everything's great, everything's an innovation, everything's the next hot thing.

With that said, if you want mine, drop me an IM and I'll send it to you. My copy is just gathering dust at this point. I'd rather somebody else got to read it than me "rediscovering" it in my magazine pile in 2 years.....and then pitching it.

Might be like the American Rifleman guide to the M1911.
Some articles, lots of ad's.... really an $ 8.00 magazine.
Nice pictures though.
