Every time I see a review for the latest AR they do accuracy tests that include the TAP 75gr in barrels that are 1:9 twist and they never have key-hole issues? I know my min-14 with douglas barrel and 1:9 twist loves this stuff. I have yet to see a 1:9 twist barrel not stabilize this round but I'm only talking about 100yrd ranges. Is it possible that this bullet gets unstable after that range? In fact most if not all the reviews I read show this round as one of the most accurate out of these 1:9 twist barrels. Yet so many on this forum claim that it isn't a fast enough spin? I know this is an old topic but it keeps coming up with the articles showing great performance with the slower twists.hinking.gif

I have used a 20" 1:9 barrel exclusively in NRA highpower matches for about 5 years.  Although using Hornady 75 grn BTHP and A-max bullets.  I have yet to use any TAP for anything, however I have had great performance out to 600 yrds with my combo for what it's worth.

I believe that the 75 grain A-Max is the same round only the TAP has a powder that gives less muzzle signature and cases coated with a black finish that improves feeding. Yes I have a Colt HBAR Match Competition model 20" 1:9 with a "SS109" scope and it tack drives this round at 200 yards my ranges max limit. Also my Mini-14 which was customised by Accuracy Systems has a Douglas barrel 18" 1:9 twist and it loves this ammo. So why do so many here at ar15.com say it's too slow a twist rate??? In fact I was told by more than a few not to waste the money, go figure?hinking.gif
