Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Gas block problems

I tried using a 1/8" punch and a rubber mallet to knock the pins holding the gas block out. They are not moving at all.


Is there any chance Bushmaster may have used a press to push the pins in?

You need to soak them up with something like PB Blaster. Then use a punch and a real hammer. They only tap out from one direction. Cannot remember what side, but look at it and you will see one side of the pin is wider than the other. Whack the smaller side.
