I am familair with the practice of carrying a spare bolt as an emergency field replacment fo either the extractor, ejector, or bolt itself. The idea being to simply swithc out the whole bolt is much faster and easeir than trying to repalce the extractor or ejector.

I have heard of a similiar practice involving the chip mc cormick modular triggers. Please tell me more about this. I am not familiar with the modular trigger. What holde them into the receiver? How would one quickly swap them out?

What other examples of this type of thing might you suggest?

the cmc triggers come with pins that are captured with c-clips so unclip two of them and slide the pins out and the whole trigger is contained in its own housing so nothing to loose there.

removal of the safety is needed in order for the trigger pack to come out.
