I was thinking of trying a carbon fiber upper receiver to use on my current build. I am building a lightweight CAR. My understanding is they will work with a standard AR-15 lower, and standard bolt carrier. I have not seen on in person or know anyone that uses one. Anyone have any input?

Thanks!

Thanks, the lower is standard aluminum, just trying to see how light I can get it up top. Already have a carbon handguard and plan on a 16" lightweight barrel.
