I own a Colt post ban M4 (MT6400C) and an MT6700C. On their barrels is stamped the following: C MP. Does this mean both have chrome lined barrels?

Nope.


I think......."Colt Magnetic Particle". Usually the MT barrels are not chrome lined.


Buy Colt Defense, not Colt Commercial.

The C is for Colt, the M is for magnetic particle testing and the P is for proof load testing.

The 6400C should have a chrome bore, but I do not believe the 6700C does.

I believe I'd agree with that!

Per Ken at S.A.W. the 6400c had the same barrel as the Mil M4, just not cut to 14.5.

And I know the 20" flat top post ban era with pre ban features wan't chromed.
