I need some help installing a Daniel Defense 7" handguard. I purchased it from Adco, and no instructions were included with the piece. I emailed DD for instructions, with no response there, as of yet.  I think I've got the general idea, but I'd like to have some actual instructions before proceeding, and screwing something up. It's going on a 9mm upper, and I already have the Bushmaster receiver block and a armorer's tools.

I searched in that area for Daniel Defense and mostly found arguments about this vs. that... But no specific instructions for installing this particular unit.

Did you look at the tacked threads?

There's info on installing ff rails about halfway down.

Thanks for the help. The assembly threads on the board here are very well done and quite helpful. The Daniel Defense FF handguard is just a little different from the LaRue (it doesn't have the anti-spin plate) so the assembly is just a little different.

Adco sent me a copy of the DD instruction sheet on installation and frankly, they don't do a very good job of detailing the installation process. I have just enough knowledge on this stuff to be dangerous, but a real novice would be left flat trying to figure out the install process.  DD needs to take some lessons on writing instructions from the board guys here.

Now I'm waiting on my 5" barrel from TROS to complete the project. Should be fun when it's done!
