I just spent big bucks on a Geiselle Trigger, MGI Buffer, MIAD grip, and KNS pins...

none of which I NEED but all of which I WANT.  I thought about not buying them and getting ammo instead...but I got ammo, and I practice alot.  That...and BRD is a powerful addiction.  ADCO, GTS, and MGI....thank you and you're welcome!!!

That said, this current build is complete....and I will buy a few more bits & handgun mags to round everything off.  After that, thankfully, I'll stock up on ammo and disappear into the sunset forever.  I must break away from this place.

My name is Hokie, and I am an addict.

AR15's should have a f'n 12-step detoxification program.

I already have 3 ARs. I ended up getting a bubba'd AR in a trade. After getting rid of a few things, I'll have a complete Bushmaster upper and lower receiver set. My next question was, of course, "What do I want to build".

Not if. Not when, just what.

Addicted.

At times my wife threatens to admit me into a clinic....

my first response is usually "SWEET!!!!  3-Gun???  Advanced Combat Handgun???"

she then usually shakes her head and walks away.

LOL, I know what you mean!

I'm gearing up to start building up another AR but unlike you I can stop anytime I want...

I'm trying to put together the cash for my first build now.

My poor little RRA lower, siting in the safe all by itself.  I just can't figure out WHAT I want to build.

I'm in the same boat as you. I just bought 2 M16A2 stocks and an M16 stock at the gunshow this weekend. Why? I'm not really sure, but my subconcious is gathering parts for 2 or 3 more builds that I don't know about yet

I just finished one build (dissapator with a full length gas system), started another (A2 NM Rifle), and am planning a 4th (Lightweight).

Does the detox program come with a discount on parts?

Yeah it is. I just looked at my CC statement for this month.

Then I realized that I just did an order to GTS and one to Bravo that wasn't even posted yet.

Damn BRD.

I sold $2500 worth of stuff this month so that will help a little.

I too admitt to being an  addict. After 3 carbines and 1- 20" build, I had to have a 24" bull barreled build. Good optics are exspensive, the SPR stock, is a must have, Badger Ordance rings, did not think I would spend that much on rings. And of course a rifle length rail from MI, and the list goes on, and on.

I am on #4

First one was an RRA, I got the reciever free as the result of a crappy lower I bought.

Then, back when I thought I was going to get an LRB M14 barrelled reciever, I went and got one of their AR lowers.  I got off the M14 but kept the AR...

Manufacturer of crappy lower mentioned above insisted on sending me a replacement so that one's in the safe awaiting build.

In the meantime I got a set of jaw blocks for building my own uppers...

Now I am gearing up to buy an LMT complete lower and I bought an M16A1 upper from CDNN.

It never ends.

I am sorry about the LRB M14, the wait was too long and BRD struck...

Maybe someday...

I started tinkering with ARs a few years back, pretty soon they took over the house. I sold all but one, however I have come across a barrel nut, a set of handguards and a carbine gas tube so I will do one more.

Luckiny I have done enough swapping of parts, horse trading, and buying/selling to build my gun that I, nor anyone else could tell you how much I actually have into the gun.

I can tell you that I need another $1200 or so to finish it the way I want it.....

LW enhanced b/bc assem.
PRI front sight, nice rear flip up of some sort
New grip...well 2, one for the gun and a matching one for the ARMS VFG.
THen there is the question of optics.

Doubt I'll be replacing the trigger, I polished up the stock one, and I ain't about precision anyhow.

I just started in october with my first built and I have a buttload of $ in my gun, and now with these kB! threads showing up with horrific regularity, I am thinking of building a spare AR.  ugh...it truly is a sickness.

Man Hokie you arent kidding!

My 1st build wasnt so bad.

total $689.00 for a M4/stag

But my 2nd build got out of hand.

$105.00 lower
$430.00 upper (16")
$60.00 lpk
$175.00 vltor
$28.00 tango down battle grip
$36.00 rail covers
$275.00 larue rail
$90.00 refinish
$110.00 A.R.M.S. #40-L
$120.00 TROY frt sight
$890.00 TA31-F and Its not even on the rifle since I decided to put it on something else.

but $2319.00

Damn! It got real expensive.  I must fight urges to build
Yeah right  Ive already ordered the parts for #3   .

I admit I got a real bad case of BRD and there aint no stopping me. I only wish I had started building sooner instead of buying whole rifles.
