Great, thanks.

So, since you posted in a technical forum, do you have any questions concerning ARs?

Link Posted: 3/25/2006 10:43:46 PM EDT
[#2]
No. No questions. Only compliments to you guys.

Look at it this way, you may not think your AR is 'COOL' as somebody elses rig... but imagine the guy doesn't even own one ... but so damn desparately yearns.
Its like pissin and moaning about the condition of your shoes to a guy who has no feet.
You have an AR and its very cool ... she just needs a to shop where the 'Porn Stars' do... and I have a feeling she will ...  BTW nice weapon she's on her way .

I like it - it's very similar to the CMMG I have.  Sometimes simple is good.

Just remember, no matter how "cool" one thinks their gun looks, there will always be one that "looks cooler"

Just be careful not to get caught up in chasing the dragon here. It can end up being quite costly

BRD, run amuck.

Hey, yours is a lot cooler than mine:

There are plenty here who don't even have one, so don't listen to all the noise. BTW, there's nothing wrong with air5oft (as long as you don't dress up and run around the woods with it). I plan on getting one for my boy as soon as he's old enough.

Welcome to the club!

The only thing not cool about yours are those straight things sticking down in front of the trigger area.  What are those?    J/K

Sorry, I suffer from a common condition known as: Cool AR-15 Envy.
Nah, really, you guys have a really great collection of rifles on this forum and there are many knowledgable & helpful people here. I jusk wanted to say THANKS!!!
(In a weird kinda way)

Don't feel too bad, you are far from being alone in your envy of others toys.  I love my AR and the way I have it set up but there are so many here with so many awesome toys and a whole lot of them to boot.  So I am always finding my self having AR/AR Toy Envy

BASTAGES!!!

Just remember, before you get too envious; an AR in the hand is worth 3 in the safe.  As long as the gun you are using is a quality piece and well maintained, then you are still very well off.

I have a Bushy M4 that I have about 2 grand into and it's a great AR I just get amazed with envy at some of the things a lot of you guys have.  I'm not jealous in a bad way but in a good for you way, I just wish I had some of it but I'm trying

I personally think the coolest looking AR's are the ones that look closes to mil-spec. Alot of the crazier AR's people make don't even look like AR's to me anymore.

Tacti-cool is out. KISS is in this year if you didnt know.

I just added this baby to the family yesterday. There is a need and place for high-speed rigs, but there is an appeal to KISS as well. I lean more toward KISS on my AR15's

My barebones A3 and whats going to be my M16A4gery. They aren't "tacti-cool" but I think they look really neat!! Especially my A4, which has super-top-secret Predator camoflauge so its mostly invisible.

Doesn't need to look "cool" it just needs to work and I'm sure yours works just fine.

I'm new to owning an AR. I've always admired them but just never had the $$$ to get one. I've been a part of the CETME community for a couple of years. I just recently sold it to get the DPMS. I sometimes miss her.

The bad part of owning an AR is that no matter how happy you are with it, there is always a cooler, lighter, more high speed arangement out there. I started with a bone stock Bushmaster 20 A2. I added various optics, slings, etc. Then I "had" to have a carbine. Bought a beautiful m4gery and added the obligatory Aimpoint. I love shooting the carbine, but now have regressed to shooting the gold old A2 in plain Jane format with nothing except a 50 year old canvas sling that I swiped from my Garand. Unfortunately, short barrels have caught my fancy as well as building some sort of MK12 SPR.

The sickness never ends.
