i looked through all the stickies and tried the search (which didnt do anything) so here is an easy guestion. on an ar-15 match h-bar target what does the "match" stand for, match grade bolt/carrier, trigger, ....? i know what the H-bat and target mean but not sure on the "match" part...thanks

Match stands for absolutely nothing.  It's the name of a model made by Colt.  During the BAN ARs could not be called "AR-15".

Thus they were called Match Target and such!

They did have a series of rifles that they claim were selected out for superior accuracy, but I don't remember if yours is one.  I assume they test fired rifles and the ones that grouped well were put aside.  It could have been marketing hype too, as test firing enough rounds to make any kind of valid statistical inference would have been expensive.  Still, nothing wrong with your rifle.
