I need to remove it for my troy rail....is their any way to remove it othre that cutting it offf, or would i have to take off the barrel for that?

yep.  plus when you plan on doing a new build why would you put a delta ring on it anyway?  Much better and cheaper to start off with a free float tube

yeah, i ibought the upper used, so it was already assembled...but thats what i'll do next time
