I don't have an AR with me to measure.

What is the overall length of a 10.5" AR, including flash suppressor, with the stock collapsed?

What kind of stock?  Old M4 style, new M4 style, Crane type, MagPul?

SOPMOD.  The length doesn't have to be exact, I'm trying to get an idea what size hard case I need.

IIRC, there's less than an inch of difference between all the different collapsibles when they are fully collapsed.

Thanks for the replies.

Anybody know where I can find a hard case that is just a tad bigger than 27"?

not to sure who has deals on that specific case, but you could always break it down and use a smaller case, if you cant find one quite big enough

Wasn't sure how specific a measurement you needed.  I designed a case for a specific application and it nearly went to shit because the case manufacture failed to mention the cases are +/- .5 inch for all demensions.  I needed the advertised 34.5 inch cases, not the 34.0's I got.  I ended up fixing the problem with a hole saw.

One inch is huge if your a mouse.

Point taken.

I don't figure I'll find a case that will fit well enough that I will need a perfect measurement, but I appreciate your help.

Most likely I'll end up with a Pelican that leaves a few inches of extra space.

SKB could be an alternative.
