Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Military M16's for DMR, two-stage triggers??

With all this talk in one of my previous threads about two stage triggers and how they are supposedly "less reliable", does anyone know if the military uses two stage triggers in any of their AR design rifles for DMR or whatever, maybe in an SPR or something??

If so, what kind and why?

My issue DMR has a 2 stage KAC trigger.

ETA:  No reliability issues throughout deployment thus far.

My SPR had a 2-stage and my SR has one, too.  No reliability issues at all.

The SPR has a KAC 2 stage, the SDM had a LMT.  I think its safe to say that you will be seeing more and more Geissele triggers in Army (speciality)rifles in the future.  Standard issue M16 will have the standard issues.

FWIW - 2 stage triggers in combat proven US Military Rifles - M1903, M1903A3, M1917, M1 Garand, M14.
