I'm looking for a locking rack to accomodate my AR-15 in a Ford Crown Vic patrol car.  My Bushy has an EOTech 512 mounted on a RRA Dominator rail and it also has a Surefire M500 light installed.  Anyone know of a locking (preferably electronic) rack that will fit this weapon?

Here's a pic of the gun I'm needing a rack for...

I had to make my own out of a Shotgun rack that came out of an old taurus.

I will find some pics and dig through some old research I did on the subject.

Where in the vehicle do you wish to mount? Between seats, floor board, over head, etc.

Nice stick!

I have a police magazine at home with a couple of rack ads in it. I'll see if I can find it tonight.

Our policy only allows storage in the trunk. Not sure I'm 100% happy with that, but nothing I can do about it.

Anyway, I'm in Patrol Rifle class today and havin' a blast! Gotta love free ammo and gettin' paid OVERTIME to shoot it up!

Oh, and nice AR.

Anybody already using a trunk mount that they could give feedback on and/or share pics of? I may just end up with it in a case instead of a rack since it will be in the trunk anyway...

+1 I am also looking for a trunk rack, preferably one that will hold the weapon to the TOP of the trunk lid.

If you do this consider that you may need to beef up the springs on the trunk lid to handle the extra weight.

I ran my work gun with a Surefire 500 for about 3 years. I kept it in a Pro-Gard lock. I mounted it on the partition between the front seats.  It will work great. I am now running my rifle set up different. Because of this the Pro-Gard lock is not the best.  I am going to buy a Santa Cruz lock. www.santacruzgunlocks.com/htmpages/setups/colt/colt.htm

Either lock will give you good service. If you need a pic of the mount let me know.

Good = will do the job without problems, and provide years of service.

Better definition for you?

If you want "Great" you're gonna have to hire a Hooter's chick to sit in your passenger seat and hold your rifle, then hand it to you when you need it. That'd be great.

How would you describe handcuffs? They either work or they don't. Nothing "Great" about them.
