What is the best collapsible stock?
Which stock has less rattles?
The biggest problem with the Magpul M93 is I think its fugly.
This will be going on my DPMS AP4 308.
I still love my old Colt 4 pos. any body selling them still are a good tight copy?

Another vote for Vltor. I like the SOPMOD by LMT but they are very pricey.

I like the Magpul because:

It doesn't rattle -very solid
Very Strong and durable
Has presets
Cheek weld feels like a fixed stock -very consistant
Has a strike plate and multiple options for mounting a sling.

The guy said he hated the Magpul. I like the Vltor b/c it is well made, reasonably priced, has storage and a decent cheekweld (although it can be a whisker puller). Also I like the clubfoot because it is a functional design. I also like the Sopmod but it is WAAAY too much money for a stock.

Didnt say I hated the magpul just think its fugly. I actually will probably go with the Magpul, just because its is extremely well built. That is if I cant find a good tight 4 pos. I just love the looks of the old CAR stocks.

LMT SOPMOD is by far the best feeling and functioning stock out there.  The cheek weld is way better than anything else out there.  It is sturdy, has no rattles, and has two storage compartments in the stock.  I have played with the VOLTR and ACE and Magpul and the LMT is the best hands down.  The people that will say they are too expensive probably have not used them at all let alone spent any real time using them on a daily basis.

You would not be wasting your money on a LMT at all.  If you do buy another type do yourself a favor and dont handle a LMT afterwords because you will be pissed you didnt spend the money on one to begin with.

Go with it.  Then others won't believe all your "taste" for the finer thangs in life is all in your mouth.

What size batteries will the LMT SOPMOD hold? My Laser Device OP-9 and Las tac both use the CR123A batteries. Will they fit in the SOPMOD?

ACE SOCOM stock...  Stronger than the rest although quite a bit heavier.  As said above, this thing is 100% rattle free and has ZERO play.  Locks up tight and just looks cool as hell with the "meat hammer" impact device on the end.

LMT may be better.  To me the Vltors are the best.  They hold batteries, have great cheek weld and they don't rattle.

For comfort and feel LMT SOPMOD.

For features, Magpul M93B.

Both are tight and rattle free.  Love the strike plate on the M93B though.

The MIAD is hands down the best pistol grip, IMO.

I'm replacing my old 2 position stock with the new ACE  7 Position with the Full under Lug and Gusset. It is the strongest non Scom Stock aval.  The tube is way thicker and has ambi sling mounts, laser etching and pre set stop capability for LOP.  It's very cool.  I'll post a pic when I'm done.  762

I still use the "normal" CAR stock, but am looking at getting an LMT SOPMOD.

There's another choice I haven't seen listed. It's made by Choate, but I can't attest to its usefulness.

Magpul M93B Stock with strike plate.

'cause I couldn't find an LMT SOPMOD Stock at the time.

Get the Magpul M93B w/ Strike Plate. While you're at it, pick up the MIAD and the Enhanced trigger guard. They make a nice set. I couldn't be happier with mine.

BTW- Magpul has the M93B on sale for $195.00 with FREE SHIPPING!

Hmm, why does that Choate remind me of the LMT?

Personally, I can't decide if I want the Magpul or the Ace SOCOM for my next build.  I have an Ace Skeleton stock on one of my ARs, and I must say that one is pretty damn strong.

Thanks guys I think I have it narrowed down to the LMT or Magpul. But then again last night I was playing around and put an old SP1 Colt stock and grip on it and dang I really like the feel of it. So who knows. Thanks for the imput.

I have a VLTOR to replace the older Fiber Lite!

Its nice but nothing to write home about! Dont seem any stronger than regular Tactical Tele stocks?

sorta wish I gave LMT a chance

I like the ACE M4 type also seems to be stronger than most.

Titanium buffer tube would be cool!!

Wow I would just have a hard time spending 200 bucks on a stock. ..  I don't even know what kind I have on my AR's. . . . . One is a stock Bushy and the other one is??? They both adjust 6 positions and I love them both. . . . .they are identical except for the bushy emblem on the one.
That magpul looks like a star wars gun stock, and batteries. . .  well I put those in my ALICE pack.
200 bucks can buy a lot of ammo.
And thus kill a lot of coyotes and crows.

My two cents for whomever really cares.
