I know it's mostly personal preference but I can't decide between an LMT or RRA lower for my 10.5" SBR project.

The upper is going to be LMT and I want an LMT SOPMOD stock and... LMT fixed rear BUIS.

I have an RRA and it is a great lower but I hear a lot of good things about LMT.

Should I just go ahead and get an LMT lower?

LMT would be my vote, make it all LMT.

I like the finish work on the RRA lowers better than the LMT lowers I have seen but if everything else is going to be LMT I say get an LMT lower.

I have both and the LMT has the edge. Just barely though.

Really doesn't matter. They are both great in terms of quality but if everything else is going to be LMT might as well do the whole rifle LMT.

I think RRA has it when it comes to fit, finish and $$$

My LMT lower was one of the if not the best finished lower I have seen.  Spend the extra cash and make it all LMT or you will always regret it.

My LMT lower is flawless.  Great fit and finish.  It's attached to my LMT upper which rocks.  Have fun.

Makes sense to me to have your SBR all LMT.

might as well.

LMT it is then.  I was hesitant to spend more money on an equal product but I guess I'll do it to keep the rifle all LMT.

I will tell you my thoughts on what I would do if I was planning a SBR build with a LMT upper, I would build a all LMT MK18.

Its an SBR so make sure you pick the one you really want as you can't just swap them out at will. I will say it again, if its all other LMT stuff might as well make it an LMT lower as well. I agree that if you don't, you will regret it. I do consider RRA to have a better finished product but LMT does a fine job also.

+1
I have both in my safe, but if it's going to be an LMT upper then go all LMT. RRA has a great finish and overall quality.

If you want to save money then go RRA, if thats not an issue, then go LMT.

Their both great, but I am cheap, so I am using STAG lowers.

Mine will be almost identical but I will use a LaRue rail instead of a KAC RIS... and no go fast switch.

It's getting an Aimpoint M3 in a LaRue cantilever and a SureFire M900.  I'm leaving the fixed front sight and mounting an LMT fixed rear BUIS.

Before the year is out, I hope to have a suppressor as well... or at least I'll be waiting on a Form 4 to be approved.

It will be the home defense rifle... and the "fun as shit at the range" rifle.
