I had one from DPMS, they call it the Tuber. It looked cool, but it is very front heavy and it holds the heat in. I swapped out for a YHM 4 rail tube.

The FIRSH is a rail system, and is a pretty heavy one at that, a full rail is going to be very muzzle heavy while giving you little benefit.
A 16" barrel is NOT easy to grab by accident. If you are seeing people do this, you are watching people who are lacking in skills and who need to start doing dry fire training to get up to speed. I've run a 16" carbine in numerous configurations and never grabbed a hot barrel. Its a training issue, and even if someone is a novice shooter, this isn't something that they should be having a problem with. |

I'm running the rifle length FIRSH on my frankengun with 16" barrel right now.
I haven't had any problems with it so far.  |
