Just picked up this lower today from my ffl.

It is a forged lower from Essential Arms. They discontinued the cast lowers.

Vaughn at E.A. did it up for me in sandstrom 9a gray to match my CDNN m16a1 upper, I bought this to fill the bill until I can find a true A1 lower.

But for now I can use this lower for my A1 build.  The pics suck but the lower is gray and will match the retro gray uppers quite well.

My computer skills have much to be desired, so if anyone would like to make this link to the pic hot please do.

Forgot to add that it is a low shelf lower.

I would like to see a photo of it mated to the Colt upper to see how well they match?

Thanks for making the pic hot, I'll try to get a pic with the upper taken outside so you can see the color match. But it does look good!

Why would they?  Maybe for the cost of a new forged lower.
