I do believe that he is talking about completely chromed carriers and not just chrome lined.  But then again my reading is a little rusty.

WS4LIF,
I think you are talking about fully chromed M16A1 carriers with the side assist cuts so:
Colt: made the unmarked originals in the '60 for the XM16E1
DPMS: rough machine work, marked "D"
Smith Enterprises: earlier ones had better machining, later ones marked "D" (?)
Young Manufacturing: mostly for match shooting
Advanced Ordnance: beautiful like the early Colt carriers, hard to find item, marked "A"
FN?: I have seen chromed "MPF" marked bolts, so FN may have made chrome carriers
Les Baer: semi auto function only IIRC
Probably several more companies I am not aware of.

And some of us understand what we are reading too....the word "chrome" belongs in those carrier descriptions as much as "volkswagen".

DPMS was one, ameetec is where I got mine and they're a fair bit nicer than the DPMS ones I've seen.  Someone also linked to del-ton

My new DPMS A3 has as nice looking a chromed carrier as I have ever seen on any rifle. No complaints here with their quality.

that POF BCG is sexy.
However are M-16 BCG's legal in an AR?
Wouldn't it be considered "part" of a machine gun? or am I reading too deep into things?

I'll agree that these bolt groups are not what your looking for, but ya can't say they are not chrome, for as noted on the site; "CMT Chrome LINED Bolt Carrier Group" the working parts are chrome lined and they come MPI tested, their a good product.

Ain't my fault you didn't say what you meant.

Had you worded your post in this manner:

I am looking for a shiny chromed carrier , -w- F.A. notches like the 60's Colts , does anyone make these?

I'd have known you were looking for the ghey variety chrome BC groups.....

All Current Colts (LEO line) are shipped with a M16 carrier. This Like what gun was used in HEAT has been covered in great detail.
