I noticed that the 'shoulder' of AR firing pin is smaller compared with M16 firing pin.
Is it ok to use the AR firing pin on an M16 bolt carrier?

Any disadvantages?

That's cool...it's vise versa that can cause problems. I'd prefer the M16 FP myself though...more area for the FPRP to catch onto.

only a problem if you are using an unshrouded carrier.
