Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - YHM 2 piece flip up front sight

I got my YHM 2 piece flip up front sight in yesterday and when I installed it I noticed that it dosent line up properly with the handguard cap in place. It's held foward about a 1/32 of an inch. I'm wondering if this would cause the gas port to not line up and give me problems?

If I follow what you are saying, its not an issue.  Most of the sights don't press against the handguard cap.  If you are using a rail, many people pull the handguard cap for added cooling.

I'm using stock handguards with the flip up. The handguard cap rests against a shoulder on the barrel, and the sight base butts up against the cap. The sight is pushed forward the thickness of the cap. It seems like they designed the sight only for use with a free floater.
