Could somebody please point me to a link which will educate me on the PURPOSE and DIFFERENCES in specs. between an SPR; SPC (?) and RECCE?

I still do not have a full understanding of it's "differences" and the main purpose for which they were developed. I mean, you already have a 20" M16 rifle .... so how is this different?
