How is the YHM railed free float forend indexed to ensure the rails match up with the upper?

Use a riser or carry handle to bridge across from the receiver to the FF...

I just use a long straight edge.

Time it a little short and keep checking as you tighten it. It will move into place if you do it right.

Thats how I did it, use the carry handle to align the two rails.  Keep checking and making small
adjustments as you tighten everything up.  Blue loctite!  Use the red and it will never come apart again.  Its medium strength instead of high strength.
