Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - castle nut

Might be a silly question. Going from a Bushmaster non-mil spec tube and stock to a Vltor stock and a CMT or Vltor tube. Since I didn't buy it as a kit, I'm wondering if my existing castle nut will work w/ my new setup. ie, is there a non-mil spec and mil spec castle nut?
