Hello all,

I recently purchased (legal in CA for now, yay) 4 Lauer stripped lowers. The workmanship seems great, except I notice there is no bevel cut at the top rear of the receiver, where the charging handle rides. Most other AR receivers I've seen have this bevel.

Will this affect function in any way? More importantly, since it's a slightly protruding edge, will I lose any skin (I don't generally shoot NTCH)?

Thanks,

/TCP

Doesn't affect anything.  The buttstock sits higher than that anyway.

Just out of curiosity, why do many mfr's provide the relief cut? Is it something attractive to the civilian market?

Is the relief cut part of the MILSPEC?
