I received my Levang Comp today, so I was able to see just how much I needed to cut my aluminium ff tube to allow the barrel to stick out (10.5" barrel, 12.5" tube).
Since I had to cut the tube, I figured why not make it extra "EVIL"....      I know it's only a pistol, but does this qualify as "EVIL" ? Gene |

That definitely qualifies as EVIL, if not, double evil, because we're not allowed to have "assault pistols" here in MD. Nice job cutting the FF tube!

I bet to most of us that looks very beautiful and it would keep us very warm on a cold winters night, but to the LIBs I would think they would want to arrest you for owning such an evil pistol like that.
I can hear them now: "Why do you need that?" "You can't hunt with that?" "What kind of sport needs point on the front for?" "Do you know that 100,000,000 people die from gun related crime using that exact same pistol?" I am jus trying to warn you, about the evil you possess!!! |

I normally don't like AR pistols at all, and don't have any desire at all to own one, but THAT is evil, and cool. First AR pistol I ever thought "damn that's neat" about. Good work on the evil.

I have not shot this set up yet. For this to be complete, I still need a B/BC. If I need to, I can borrow the set from my rifle, but I'd rather wait till I get a set just for this one. It has a rifle buffer spring and a carbine buffer. Another member here (who's design I've copied) uses that set up and says it works perfect. I'll find out when I go shoot it. I never thought about "solving the no bayonet problem", I just thought it would look better than a "plain jane" tube. As for the SBR, soon as I get back to the good ole U S of A, I'll submit the forms & cash to do so. Thanks for all the comments guys. Now I feel that I honestly have a "Evil Black Rifle" (even if it is only a pistol right now ).Gene |

Question: what IS the purpose of the points on the end of the forend/shroud? And what kind of sights are you going to use-some red dot type, I assume? |

I cringe at the tought of dropping that thing and seeing it standing on end, impaled in the hardwood floor by it's "teeth" (dropping it on your foot would really suck too).

The purpose of the point on the end of the tube? I don't understand the question.  just kidding. I had to cut the tube anyways because it was too long, so I figured I'd atleast make it look MORE EVIL. As for sights, I'm looking at the S.P.O.T. since it's cheap and has a pretty good review. I have a BUIS for the rear that I can throw on there, but I need to bolt a small rail on the tube and then a BUIS for the front. Not sure, still have to look around some more. Gene |

I love it. Nice Job. Let me know about the range report, and good idea for the front of the FFtube. Others will badmouth, but I love the idea of it as a push defence weapon for CQB. Innovative.

Thank you for the inspiration. I hope to shoot it this weekend. About the only CQB I'll be doing is clearing my house when the occasional intruder comes lurking or when ZOMBIES attack. In the event that ever happens, I now have a"built-in bayonet" lol. I'm hoping the range is crowded when I go to shoot so I can hear the "what hell is that!?" questions. Thanks again. Gene |
