Just went over to the S&W web site to check out the new rifles
www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=11101&categoryId=33803&top=Y
Just my opinion but they seem kinda pricey. What do y'all think?

MSRP is always pricey. I guess everyone wants to be in on the AR market. Looks like any other AR15 to me.

Sorry, for that kind of money, I'll stick to bushy or RRA and get a case or two of ammo.

Just my .02

You could buy the one with the carry handle for $1200 and purchase a BUIS for $100 and have two sights for $1300.

4140 barrel steel.

good rule of thumb for SW products:

take their msrp and multiply by .7 and you will get a good idea of what they will be going for on gunbroker and at gunshows.  that puts the base model in the mid 800's, which is not terrible, but not that great either.

Just saw this model at a local gunstore.  Model M&P15T Rifle.   MSRP is $1700, but they had it for $1249.  Not too bad considering the FF rail system and Troy front/rear flip sites.
