is there any adventage using the Vltor 5 position receiver extension over say a colt 6 position tube?  im guessing the first and last positions are in the same spot.  anyone know why they went with 5 than 6 positions?

Pretty sure Colt's is a 4 position (mine are)

But your question is still a good one.

IIRC the last position on my VLTOR tube is equivelant to an A1 Length. I just switched out the tube and stock on my bushy and it seems to be one slot shorter tha the 6 position it came with

If I'm not going to have the super fine adjustment of a M93, I prefer the 5 position.
