What's the most comfortable and looks the best?

Post up some links and pics.

Thanks. :)

By the way, I'm thinking about the G27.

Comfortability wise, the Hogue wins.  It's not as tacticool though.  The Magpul MIAD and TangoDown are both good choices as well, just not nearly as comfortable.

Sierra Precision for the heavy rifle, Tangodown for the carbines.

The Sierra Precision fits like a glove.  Have yet to find a more comfortable grip on any rifle platform.

I am another Hogue user although I have been eyeballing the Ergo.
I saw one at a show but it was not on a weapon so I could not get a good feel for it.

magpul MIAD.

it's the only modular one out there, so it just more likely to fit a wider range of hands than the other models.

Hogue is on nearly all my firearms.

I've handled the MIAD.  It looks cool.  That's about it though.  It's not something you'd ever want to put through a torture test.

Smartest thing said in this thread.  It doesn't matter what looks "Kewl" or what the other guy has.

The grip has to feel good in YOUR hand, and be at a proper angle for trigger reach and the ability to operate the selector with your thumb.

Hard to experiment with that though online...Trying to see what people like the best, then try that.  If it feels good then I keep it.  If I don't like it, I sell it and try the next on the list.

I have medium size hands =-P

You definitely need to try as many different pistol grips as you can. Finger grooves/no finger grooves, grip angle, texture, size, shape, are all individual choices. Don't pick a grip because it "looks cool" or because it's the "in" thing on Arfcom.

That said, I like the TD and the MIAD, but prefer the TD.

I am becoming a convert myself

as a long time Hogue promoter, I am now endorsing TangoDown

while not quite as comfortable a grip surface, the lack of finger-grooves makes it a more universal choice.

Love the TD

For pure fit and comfort I like the Sierra.  Fits like the proverbial glove--for me.   Great target grip, not so good for tactical.

For practicality I like the MIAD, although it is a little on the "square" side for me, i.e. not as rounded as I would prefer.  I bought mine with the integrated trigger guard which I highly recommend.  The texturing is outstanding and fit and finish is first rate.

The biggest problem with finding a good grip is that the "interface" between the hand and grip is quite different when on and off the rifle.  Some feel great in the hand, but once mounted can feel awkward or certain uncomfortable pressure points appear.  Lots of trial and error as everyone's hand is different.

The other issue is that some of these grips look so God-awful once mounted to the rifle.  I know, I know: function should always trump form.  But I do still have to look at it now and then.

For some reason I like the A2 on my 20" A2, but did not like the Hogue.
But on my 16" carbine I like the Hogue even better than the A2.

So maybe different setups/ configurations will change your individual preference on grip choice?  Maybe so...  In fact, I was going to get rid of my hogue, until I tried it on a different setup.  Now I really like it.

Just a thought.
