On some of the ARMS SIR's there is a reversible top plate on the top of the unit behind the front sight base to either leave the top rail flush or turn it over to mount a specific piece of equipment.  

My question is what mounts there is it for a AN/PEQ or AN/PAQ IR laser of something else

My search foo is weak at the moment and I cant find its designed intention.

its for a peq-2 or pac-4
