Went to the gunshow in Oregon last weekend with the intention to pick up a lower or two and maybe a upper.  Well I ended up walking out with a complete AR.  I picked up a stripped Mega lower for $110 and then found a Olympic Arms upper that I liked.  The guy wanted $400 for it.  Told him if he threw in a lower parts kit, a grip, and 6 postion collapsable stock he had a deal.  So here is what I walked out the door with on Sunday.

Not bad for $510.

Hopefully in the next week or two I can get out and put some rounds down range with it to see how it shoots.

Very nice. I have the FIRSH on my carbine and it has been great. What type of rear sight are you looking at?

I'm not real big on Oly stuff, but even I have to admit for that price, I'd take two!  Cool looking rig on a small budgetary figure.  Really dig the F.S. G27 grip too.

Chalk one up to the savvy consumer.

I haven't decided what I am going with yet.  I have a spare carry handle that I will probably throw on it for the time being.

I have been pondering the A.R.M.S.#40L SP or Troy Industries Folding Battle Sight.

I thought so.

Now I am debating if I want to make this my first camo AR.

DuraCoat or Moly Resin?

Aha!   I looked that upper over as well!  But I was there on Saturday, he didn't want to deal then, guess on Sunday he didn't want to pack it up to take it home!

Great job!

Range report yet?

I bought it Sunday at 3:30pm show closed at 4pm.

Range report a couple weeks out.

Sorry to say it, but that show this last weekend sucked!!  There were only like 30 tables total, and the prices were pretty much gun shop prices or higher.  I've gotta say, the last 2 shows I've been to at the Salem armory have been very disappointing.  I'm about to give up on Salem shows and just head up to the Rose City shows for now on.  I headed down to Guncrafters, a local gun shop and there were probably a dozen people saying the same damn thing.

On the upside though, I'm glad you got what you were looking for.

Maybe there is some confusion, I was talking about the show at the expo center in Portland

I bought this at the Rose City show at the Expo Center, not down in Salem.

Range Report:

Took her out last Sunday since it was nice and sunny out.  I put 300rds through her without a hitch.  She is a nice shooter and accurate out to 100yds.  Didn't have a chance to see how she shoots past 100yds though.  When the weather gets better around here I will have to take her back out.

That "There's a sucker born every minute" statement that everyone's heard about also applies at times to the seller who was skillfully swindled.

Good Job!

Did you already have the B/C/CH or was that included as well.

It was a complete upper so the B/C/CH were included.
