I'd really like to build a pistol from one of these Olympic Arms OA-93 uppers since they don't need a buffer tube. I hate the look of the buffer tube on the pistols, so one of these would fit my requirements perfectly. But, are they any good? Would I be able to change the barrel and make it work with 9mm? Does anyone else make one like it? Any help is appreciated.

The ZM is basically the same thing, but more solid.  I hate Olympic.
