Where does one buy an M203?  Are they even legal to buy?  Oh, and yes, I did do a search and only came up with general maintenance info.

The true M203 would be a destructive device under ATF rules, and each anti-personnel round would be a separate DD.  I don't think they are sold to civvies in 40mm form.  And anyway, the only thing you can do with a 203 that you can't do with a 37 is launch HE and other death-dealin rounds...

Talk to Randy Shivak sp? or google Mr. 40mm.   he sells 203's

Yes any person who can own a handgun can own a 203, with the proper paperwork that is.

it is true that most of the ammunition for the 40mm is classified as a DD in and of itself so each round would need a ATF stamp, 200.00 each.  But you can still use chalk grenades (training rounds), Shotgun shell adaptors, or the hornets nest (an adaptor that lets you fire off like 12 or 20 .22 rounds at one time)

The receiver is the DD when it comes to a 203.

LMT and KAC I think are two people making the 203 right now that you can buy.

My DD knowledge is a bit rusty, but I did look at one and know it can be fun.  I've shot them many many times too.

M203's are available for about $1500 from LMT.  Pic below is mine on a KAC stand-alone buttstock setup.  Great fun with chalk rounds.

You mean the rounds that fire multiple 22 cal rounds at once?  I've got one that fires 10 at a time and it's pretty cool.  It has a surprising amount of recoil.

Lobbing chalk rounds downrange is hard to beat.  No bang when they hit, just a puff of orange, but watching them arc downrange is cool.

Yea thats what I was talking about.

A note about the orange nasty's...

I had the pleasure of watching a guy shoot a training round into an over barricade support.  Not more than, oh say 2 inches in front of the barrel.

Subsequently he, his instructor, and everyone within 10 feet was COVERED with that unforgiving orange dust.

Quite, no hysterically, funny!
