I like it, but I would've gone with a black matching grip instead of the heavier wooden one.

The PSG Grip is from NIL in Germany, they make the grip for the H&K PSG1. Have found that in different temperature variants the specially treated wood is the most rugged and comfortable

Range report?

Very nice - Like the grip - looks nice and more importantly looks very functional.

Can you cover some of the internals on the rig?  Trigger group?  Custom work done?  Barrel specs?

again - very nice

Where'd you get that wicked PSG-1-style buttstock and how much did it cost?

And can I get one for my AK?

Where's Jerry 'The King' LOLLER when I need him?

Seriously though, that stock is as the French would say 'Rad To The Max, Duder.' Where and how much?

That shooter is incredible, sintec1.

Great job - witness the on-target results.

That is a magpul PRS, availible at www.magpul.com. You could put it on an AK with any AR-15 adapter block that can take an A1/2 style stock, but I don't think it would look too good.

Do you only shoot from a bench?

Did you consider dumping the 2 layers of scope mounts/bases for a set of high rings?
Then you could moves the scope forward for proper eye relief instead of pulling your head back.
I can promise you, you'll shoot better groups when you have a more natural position. The more natural the position, the more consistant your position will be, and consistancey is everything

Just a thought, but thats what the adjustable buttstock is for right?

Ditto what Bigbore said. Taking the layers out wil reduce what little scope movement you may experience during recoil. Using the higher rings might be more comfortable, maybe not. That is a nice looking rifle though. What's the total you've got in it so far (cost?)

I'm running Arms High rings on a 42mm scope on mine. I had to add a 1" extender to the stock to make it comfortable in the prone. The fewer pieces the better for cost and repeatability, right?

On our DDM LR-308's we use the full stock and Badger Ordinance 20 MOA rails and rings with regular height rings (we use the scopes on bolt guns too so we don't want to remove the scopes from the rings) and the guys are getting sub MOA at 800 meters.

Dear All,

This is why I like dealing with our friends across the pond - thanks for the comments chaps. I will answer some of the questions.

The cost so far - too bloody much - with all configuration rebuilds, Schmidt & Bender Scope etc - USD 8,000

I have the scope mounted so high because it is comfortable for me. The weapon has been designed for testing by a major European Police Service for Urban Usage - when you consider that 99% of police sniper shots are no further than 100m the extra Vo provided by the 26" barrel is enough to take down a target without damaging innocents behind. If you think that the target object might have ceramic armour - use the Bofors FFV (Tungsten Carbide Cored Round), should bring tears to any bad guys eyes. You might ask why the .223 rem - it is very simple, Police Chiefs are shit scared over projectile over penetration, and innocents getting hurt.

Will keep all you happy people informed of further developments

Thanks

Sintec

What about the fact that the PRS allows different than the one size fits all A2 stock, or that the PRS allows you to take your supporting hand and properly place it on the club foot of the buttstock.

If this is a police rifle, you may want a longer bipod to allow for high angle stuff. That seems like an awfully tall bipod. Do you have to get the legs extended to clear the pistol grip?

How does that stock work with a sock beneath it instead of a hand?
