You need to get the new mount from Vic, instead of the stock mount. It will help save you some real estate on the top of your rifle.

Welcome to the MUM club!

I work for ITT, the discounts are nice, but I still haven't scraped up the cash.  I've got an NV compatible Aimpoint, is that enough to justify the cost of the NV device?  MJD

Nice.  I'd love to get some NODs for my rifle (AN/PVS14) but I'm still trying to convince myself that I need to spend 3x what I paid for the rifle in the first place.  Congrats on taking the plunge!

Cool! If I had the expendable cash for a NV setup,I would definately get one.If the SHTF when it's dark out,I'm screwed.

Is Gen 4 worth the upgrade from Gen3?  I just got an insurance settlement and was thinking about picking up an NOD.

It depends on what environment you plan on using it in.  There's reall no such thing as "Gen 4" yet.  However, many assign 'Autogated Thin Film' that title.  I would suggest that if you plan on using it in a high light environment, i.e. urban setting, city; go with Gen 4 if you can afford it.  If you plan on using it in a more rural/wilderness/desert setting, don't bother with Gen 4.  You won't need the autogated power supply...

Congrats.

Some sort of NV device is on my shopping list
for this year, but I will probably have to settle for Gen 2.

Very good, I like the rifle color as well, although OD would probably be better for night ops
