I'm building an Mk12 and would like to see some of those eho have an Mk12 MOD 0/1. I haven't fully decided if I want the MOD 0 or MOD 1. So if you would, give me your opinion on what you think is best and what you think is cheaper to make (I like both the MOD 0 and 1) All I have at the moment is the upper and the bbl. I would greatly appriciate your pictures and input.

Thanks!

Hey mongo, what height are your rings??  I'm assuming those are the Arms ones.  But I'm trying to figure out what height I would need.  I want them high.  A little higher than what you'd be looking at for the irons.  Yours look like they'd be what I'm looking for.

I am leaning a bit toward the MOD 1 side. How much did it generally cost you to build/buy it?

I think the whole rifle was in the 2500 neighborhood.  Prices have gone up on some things like the KAC RAS and the Leupold scope since I got mine.  I don't have a geat deal of paitence to build so I bought mine and couldn't be happier.

I found out that between bench and prone, there was no stock movement with the adjustable stock, so I went with the fixed one.  Of course, I don't have to wear body armor, so a shorter pull won't be an issue with me.

Is it higher than what you would look through the irons??  Or the same?  Or lower?  It seems like it's a hair higher and that would be just the ticket.  I guy at a gunstore told me I HAD to have the extra high.  Maybe he thinks you HAVE to clear the FSB.  I don't know.  I just never got to look through any of the heights, but I know what I'd like.  Thanks for the info.

You don't really need to clear the FSB.  With high rings, I have a tight, normal cheek weld on the stock, very similiar to, if not the same as, using irons.

Just ordered a low profile gas block, rifle length gas tube, KAC rife FF RAS (found at PDC for $360) and some tools. Now I am just waiting for the parts to come in to get the basics of the upper built. I'll get some 10W-30/40 oil when my parts come in for the barrel nut threads.

Whats left:
ARMS #22H rings
Super Sniper scope
BUIS's
KAC bipod adapter/ KAC RAS stud
Bipod
B/BC/CH w/ badger tac latch
Ops Inc brake

I have found a source for the Ops Inc brake, hopefully he'll have some sets in soon. Or maybe find a set for me at the SHOT SHOW, if you're able to buy products there.
