The McCormick drop in is one of the best. I like the two stage, straight. Its very easy to change out, you can do it yourself.

Where is the best place to buy them? Any special McCormick to ask for? I know AK's not AR's - sorry for these rookie questions.

MidWayUSA has Jewel triggers on sale for $189.00 reg. $209.00 Jewel triggers are two stage only large pin (Colt) or small pin (other mfgs.). Jewell triggers are $250.00 some places. JP Enterprises is also excellent single stage trigger and can be adjusted for zero creep/zero overtravel. The JARD trigger also has these plus a sear engagement adjustment.

I just replaced the trigger in my 6721 with the RRA match 2 stage. I have been very happy with it so far. $105!

accuracy speaks makes a very good quality single stage trigger. A friend of mine let me use a gun with it installed, and it was a huge improvement over the standard. I've heard from this site that they are the most reliable of the match triggers, though I have little experience with this myself. I am not entirely sure if they make a model for the large hole trigger pins though...

Travis, You might try JP Enterprises. You can lower the pull quite a bit on your stock trigger with their yellow springs OR get their full package. (Springs, Anti walk pins, Lightweight hammer). Dan

noobie question, whats the difference bewteen single and 2 stage triggers? setting rifle up to be a carbine match and ranch rifle, what would be best?

Krink is running fantastic! I have another Krink in 7.62 getting built by inrange in the next two weeks. Stop by the AK side of the board and look at the SEAK III project. My head is spinning with this trigger information. I may just send this thing to JP enterprises and have them install big or small. I always thought these newer colts were large pin. |

JP. either the trigger or the trigger and speed hammer kit.
No idea on the JP drop in kit the sell. 6721 is large pin. as well as 6920. Mic those pins to be sure as with most colt products you never know. |

All sporting colts and semi auto LE models now have .170 trigger/hammer pins. |

My advice -
Take everything out and do a little/slight polishing... If you don't like the outcome - THEN dump the money for an after market trigger. Make sure as well you keep your stock parts in the event a new trigger breaks. Military triggers were never designed to be competition grade. |

Actually early 90's semi auto would have the .154 pins, I have info sheet from an armorer's class that listed years of small pin vs. larger pins. Both Pivot pins and trigger/hammer pins have changed over the years in the semi auto weapons, along with various hammers/triggers/disconectors/ bolt carriers. If the rifle was made in the last ten years, is a Colt, and is a semi auto, then it should be .170
