so i finished my AR  juuuuust the way i wanted it. it started life as a Bushmaster XM15 E2S 16" HBAR with A3 flat top. now it sports:

Ergo soft rubber overmolded grip.
Troy Industries flip up rear battle sight.
DPMS four picatinny rail gas block.
Bushmaster BMAS flip down front sight.
A1 flash suppressor.
TruGlo 2x red dot with 2.5 MOA dot.

now i know its not as tacticoooool as some of your rifles, but i wanted it relatively simple and lightweight.

ain't she a beauty?

I give it 3-4 months before YOU wont even recognize it................my blood is black because of this site!

When I bought my first one, I was happy with it..............well, I really found out it wasnt friendly to me.
I had to put some more tactikewl goodies on it til it handled like a dream.
WELCOME TO THE SICKNESS...............it'll never be your last, except if you get a felony.

Shoot straight

How do you like that TruGlo optic?  I'm thinking of getting that for a 10/22 for the Wifey.  How is the eye relief ?

Speak on it brutha.  Nice touch with the A1 brake on the end.

Why doesn't anyone wear shoes during rifle photograpy?

Everytime someone's feet show up, they're always shoeless.  Just wondering.

Nice rifle, BTW.  Could you give us a range report on that optic?

ok, ok!  sheesh, i'll watch the toes next time!  haven
it has a thin aluminum tube that will probably be done for with one good quality drop on a hard surface.  its supposed to be able to withstand shock up to .50 cal muzzleloader (which really isn't that bad) so i'll have to treat it semi-gingerly.  the EOTech is looking better and better to be honest but i'll withhold final judgement until i actually shoot with it.

the 2x magnification is easy to transition to for reflex shooting.    probably not the best for clearing a house and other REALLY CQB though.  hopefully i'll get to shoot it sunday and i'll report back on it when i do.

ETA:  i like the A1 hider much better too.  since i will probably rarely shoot prone, and if i do, i i seriously doubt anyone will be shooting back so creating a dust signature is of no concern.  it looks much better than the half closed off A2 hider.  i indexed it so there is a bar on the very top and bottom so there will be no flash directly in front of my sights.
