I bought a previous JT upper and the finish was A+ .  I just got a second one in and maybe its just me but this thing looks purple. My camera made it look more blue than purple but  you can see the difference in the dust cover and Glock mag. JT has always been a good company with me I hate to see them slipping in quality.

Is it their quality slipping, or their fashion sense?

It's one thing if you expect perfect finish or the exact right shade of black, but is the upper machined correctly?

I guess I don't see finish tint as a quality issue, but my expecations put color matching damn near last on my list of important features.

Also, this is J&T and not a high-end builder. Not that I have a problem with them (none in fact), but it is the cheapest place to get uppers pretty much. Something's gotta give.

Oil it and wipe dry.  That hazy look is normal for a dry receiver.

+1   My bushy didn't look right pre-clp.  It made up its mind that it was a true black rifle after a little tlc and clp.

I dunno.  Does that shade of blue/purple clash with your frilly pink panties?

Oh that is real mature 3-4CAV. You are what? 8-9 years old from the sound of that. Just because someone has priorities that are different from yours you have to rag them.
