I cant agree. While I am sure there are many happy DPMS owners, I have been to several courses where DPMS rifles could not finish the class. The most recent Pat Rogers in Lakeland FL last month class had a guy with a stock, out of the box 20" DPMS rifle, he never even made it through the first day. Another guy with a Colt rifle and a DMPS bolt and carrier made it through the first two days, but the third day he was having problems with feeding. Turned out to be a gas problem that was solved as soon as he put another colt group in the gun. This is just two examples from the last class.
In addition, I've worked on DPMS guns and while most are ok, several have had poorly made trigger assembly parts that needed to be replaced. I've seen brittle barrel nuts off DPMS free float tubes crack, and tight chambers on barrels. I havent even mentioned the DPMS reciever that cracked in two after falling out of the rifle bag.
Like I said, I have no doubt many people are happy with their DPMS guns. But I've seen my fair share of people who had bad experiences with all manner of guns. I cant bring myself to believe that its just a coincience that so many of them had DPMS rifles and parts.
