depends on the price. If dirt cheap get the turn in but some of them are only a little cheaper than new ones

that include night sights or something?

ETA: got a Gen2 G22 last year for my dad for christmas.  Paid $430 if I am not mistaken.  Had minor wear from holster and the bottom of the frame around the magwell was a little beat up, but runs like a champ.

Go used. The right deals pop up all the time. Check the Equiptment Exchange here, I see them for sale for a good deal all the time.

Glocks are hard to wear out, and most of us can't afford to put enough ammo through them to wear them out.

This guy seems to have pretty good prices on the Glock rebuilds.  $365 for a re-furb G22.

I bought a police trade-in Glock 22 and I have been happy with it.  The outside had some scuffs and holster wear, but the internals and barrel looked spotless.

Buy used but check it thuroughly first. If it is ok then save yourself some cash for practice ammo.

I personally won't buy anything that is used.  Just a personal preference.  Your choice.

BTW - $560 is asking too much.

If you look around locally, you will find new glocks for $479.99-499.99. The extended slide versions are going to be more expensive.

Go to Academy for New.  CDNN used.  $560 for standard models (17,22,21) other than G20 is too high.

No I just love it when people post things in the wrong forum. Why don't we just get the Admin to do away with area specific topics and just post everything in one forum. For the noobs, the search function works most of the time as well. And to keep up with the Glock topic in the AR15 section I say get a new one.

ETA: This is a hobby unfortuantely.

If you have your heart set on a Glock 22, I'd say, Buy new.  You don't know what ammo the previous owner used.  .40 Cal Glocks are picky when it comes to ammo.  You could have a real bad problem down the road.

It really doesnt matter i think.  If youre going to buy a Glock Fowty, why not just spend the money on fried chicken and watermelon instead?  Glocks suck for concealed carry anyway, and there are way better defense guns out there.  If youre not going to carry it, get something more powerful, otherwise, go invest in chicken and watermelon.  C&W

Do you want the light / accessory rail. If so then be sure the used ones you look at have them. If not you'll need to buy used.

Look at www.topglock.com and others for pricing.

WTF are you talking about? Glocks are for Black folks?

Let's just call your post, "morning time and you didn't know what the hell you were typing."

Get yourself a new Glock 19. Don't get fooled into thinking the .40 S&W round is cool.
Get the 9mm, shoot the shit out of it and stockpile ammo. For concealed carry, rest in the knowledge that your weapon goes bang every single time. The time you spend shooting it will give you tons of confidence.

Glock bashers.

HS1 got rid of his G23 and never looked back.

Hmmm...

Be sure and tell that to the FBI who issues a Glock .40 to every agent in the agency. I think they know something about concealed carry and a little something about the ballistics of a .40.

IBTL....

But...I don't think buying a used Glock poses any more risk than buying any other gun used.  I had a G22 and I liked it.  Wish I never got rid of it.  Like another suggested, CDNN has good deals on them.  If I were you, I'd get a 9mm, if your looking at something besides .45.  You will get less recoil, good performance (if you use GOOD ammo), and more capacity.  Plus it's cheaper to shoot.  I'd also look around, and ask eklikwhoa where he found his prices, so you can take advantage of them, if you want a new one, that is.

If you recognize it for what it is, a Glock is a good gun.  There are better out there, and there are worse.  I don't think that you are getting ripped if you buy one, not by a long shot (unless you pay more than $600 (without just cause...like a bunch of extras), then your an idiot.

Yes, we know that too.  I say get the used one, the parts are super easy to replace if there is a problem.
