I need a good 2 piece railed handguard, for a Carbine with a Perm Attached FH.

I have only used Free Floated type.

Any Ideas ?

I have a Troy.  2-piece and free-floated.  I love it.  Samson is nearly identical.  Some slight differences which make it better in my opinion.

If you dont want Freefloated 2 peice I would go with YHM. I love my 2 peice YHM handguards on my AR. They have been on there for over a year and seen many a thousand rounds and are still tight and sturdy.

Bandit68,

For around $100, you can get a decent non-free float, or for $250 or so you can get a 2 piece that will free float.  Its a matter of what you are looking for.

Off topic but nice Shep.
Heres mine.

I am looking for a two piece for my colt as well. I was thinking of going with an add on rail that bolts to the plastic hand guards..

I like my Surefire M73...

However, if you want the top rail on the rail system to line up even with your flattop, then the M73 is not for you..

Midwest Industries #20 - 2 Piece Free Float Tactical Handguards - $163.00

Bought these for my father for christmas and they turned out awesome, they free-float nice and reduce a lot of heat buildup like the SureFire M73 has and others (that are non ff) like it have.

Both YHM and MI seem to work fine, and most people are very happy with them.  I've got the YHM on one of my carbines and on my midlength, and they are very solid.

I asked the same thing last week.

From people who've used them, the MI non-freefloat seems to be a great deal.
I think it's around $100.

on a 2 piece, YHM and MW Inds are your two choices. Both are good products. I have two YHM and am happy with them.

I have used MI's and YHM's and out of the two I like the MI better.  Its more money, but its a deep black color with the laser etched T markings.   YHM doesnt have that.

I just purchased the MI #17 for my RRA Entry Tactical; VERY tight fit and excellent finish.  They do not move at all.  Bravo Company was great to work with also.  I went with the MI because of all of the reasons listed by others in this thread.  Great product by MI and they look great too!
