That's pretty close to mine, except for the full auto switch (and the new magpul stock), so I like it ! Nice drawing - if I tried to draw that, it would look like a goat, or a pteradactyl. |
Good work, reminds me of the times as a kid when I used to draw my wishlist.
Refreshing after seeing all the photoshop jobs people do so often. |
Your perfect AR has a
10.3" upper Vortex flash hider Troy/Samson rail Magpul XT covers MI#8 sling mount EOTech 551 or 552, using thumbscrew mount YHM Rear BUIS Bager Gen 1 Tac Latch MIAD pistol grip The New Magpul stock Ranger plate and A2 type lower with fun switch looks good to me ! |
I would of probley photoshoped it If a hada decent picture of the CRT stock but there only 2-3 pictures of it anywhere. |
other than that your right. Impresive. |
Dude, your rails aren't MIL Spec!
Just kidding. Great drawing and a damn cool set up. The CTR stock is especially kick ass. |
You mean you don't already have two of them???????????
Seriously, thats some pretty damn nice drawing. Do you do drafting or CAD for a living? |
You know what the perfect AR is?????? The one, that no matter what anyone else thinks about it, How it looks, or what it has on it .......It is the one that can FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great grey camo - you can barely make it out from the background. |
nice Im on it. |

Forgive me if I'm behind the curve on this one, but I WANT THAT STOCK!!! Are they currently available?? |
Not yet |

Magpul has a new stock !!! How could I have missed that !!!
By the way, great drawing skills! And I like your ideal set-up too! |
Serious question here. Why the interest in that stock? I haven't found much info on it other than whats in the Industry forum.
ETA: Nice drawing btw. Top notch looking kit right there. |
The only reason I would want it in my opinon is...
A) has the look of an ace stock somewhat B) still adjustable C) Looks to be the same size as stock M4 stock. So basically its a fresh new look to me. All the other stocks with the ump-teen million holes in it are dubbed "robot stock" in my vocab. |
Great drawing skills, I want that stock as well....How much will it cost?
Magpul continues to move the bar forward in their form and function. You gotta love a Company like that. I'm interested just because it's from Magpul, odds are it will be great. Bomber |
He could hang a camcorder on it! |
a Taclight or something. |
Cool drawing. I had flashbacks to my childhood spending hours designing m16's, beltfeds, and smg's. I teach art, so I can respect your skills. My ideal AR would look real close, the only difference would be fold down front sight and perhaps an Hk or LW gas piston.

Well, I am working on my first AR Build-Up now, but I made something similar in airsoft form (I got the asbestos suit on); how does it look?
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a362/Sablelieger/Airsoft/M933DEVGRU.jpg The Red muzzle cover is mandatory when not playing. I also have an M4 and an MP5SD5 airsoft guns; I might sell them once I get the real AR up and going; then again, maybe I'll keep them and hang them on the wall. |
Rather than try and flame you, I think it is best to cut up your suit with a hack saw. This way, you can breathe in the asbestos. While you are getting cancer over the next 10 years, you can think about the money you wasted on a pea shooter BB gun. |

I've been thinking about doing almost that exact same setup, but with a 8" barrel and krink brake. Really compact. Nice drawing!
Nice drawing Bowles! I would love to have an AR set up that way.
Why not run it off a piston, ro lengthen the barrel slightly to 12.5? Just a thought. Also, monolithic rails are the way of the future, and the forward assist is not entirely necessary. Good drawing, too. |
Its Larues Monolithic upper. I like having the FA, a piston is heavier and more complacted, and DI works. I try to keep it KISS and really light |

Cool. Just wondering. Can't tell what it is with the panels on.
