Anyone ever heard of a LAR AR15?  If so, how is the quality?

I have one of RRA's LAR-15s.  Quality is excellent and shoots quite well.  No problems with it and everything fits together quite nice/tight.

No complaints from me about them.

LAR's are quality

didn't LAR make the Grizzly AR's? and what ever happened to Grizzly?

LAR also made, or still makes, some Bushmaster lowers.  Any Bushmaster with a serial number starting with "L" is made with a LAR lower.

LAR-15? Like this?

If so, they're great quality and I have plans to buy more in the future.

Does that LAR mean it is made by L.A.R, or does it stand for something else?

LAR also makes some bushmaster lowers. They are pretty top notch.

The "LAR" on a Rock River Arms rifle is just the model prefix they gave it.

Their lowers are made by CMT.

We may need some clarification. I was under the impression that the models with started with LAR were machine by L.A.R., the same people who made the Grizzley AR15s, and some Bushmaster lowers.

Bushmaster lowers model name is XM-15.  The serial # starts with L for the Bushmaster lowers.  RRA seems to have just named their AR's LAR-15.  I really don't think it has anything to do with the company that forges the lowers.

Rock River receivers are not made by LAR. LAR is in West Jordan, give them a call and ask if you can go by their facility.

LAR makes more than just Bushmaster receivers. LAR is the second largest sub of AR receivers.

RRA's serial number prefix is "CMXXXXX", you're thinking of their model prefix.

This is probably where you're confusing them with Bushy.

Bushy has "BFIXXXXX" ser. number prefixes and "LXXXXX" prefixes.

The ones with the "L" prefix are supposed to be made by L.A.R..

The "LAR" you see in my pic is just teh model number. Bushy uses XM-15E2.

Hope this clears it up a little.
