That link is to the bull barrel .936 sight base not a .625 sight base he asked about.

J&T Distributing has forged 0.625" FSB listed on p. 34 of their catalog for $29.95. They have them with or without the bayo lug. Additionally, on p. 20 of their catalog, they have 0.625" handgaurd caps in round and triangular style for $4.95.
I don't know the answer to your gas port sizing question, however. |

it says below: "We also offer this sight with a rough hole at .625 diameter this allows the gunsmith to bore the hole to any diameter up to 1.050." |
