BUIS, spring pres only

I'm lookiig for a buis to fit under my optics and like the ARMs 40L SP.
I've seen pics of it but does it have a detent to lock it in place after the spring forces it up or does it work with spring pressure only ??.

If so, with it locked down for long periods of time, what is the expected shelf life of the spring ??
Anybody ever had the spring weaken over time and not hold the sight up reliably ??

It is held upright by Spring Pressure.

I don't know about the long term issue but I like mine and the spring seems to be far more than up to the job, it would have to really weaken to fail.

I got my 40L SP from C4IGrant a couple of months ago and I will get more from him in the future.

Locks down only,your spring will be fine for a long long time.
